Kuniya Walk is a short return track from Kuniya Carpark to Mutitjulu Waterhole, one of the few permanent water sources around Uluru. The Parks Australia walk guide (opens in a new tab) lists it as a one-kilometre Grade 2 return walk, usually taking 30 to 45 minutes.
Walk gently and take your time
The waterhole area is shaded and lush by desert standards, with river red gums and a chance to spot birds or wallabies. It is a living cultural landscape: follow park directions, stay on the track and treat the place with respect.
Plan the short stop
There are no toilets at the walk, though the official guide notes an emergency call device. Check the latest park information before setting out, especially in heat or wet weather. For park contact and visitor-address details, see Parks Australia contact information (opens in a new tab).
