The route passes ancient campsites, the kitchen cave and examples of rock art before reaching the vertical walls of Kantju Gorge. Drinking water, toilets and an emergency call device are available.
Guided groups are often on the track in the mid-morning and late afternoon. At sunset the walk is generally quieter, and benches near the waterhole offer a calm place to pause.
