As the sun sets behind you, the rock can shift from pink to orange and deep red. Around a full moon, you may also see the moon rise beside Uluru.
The area is for cars only. It can be lively during school holidays, while the carpark is usually spacious at other times. Visit at dawn for a quieter view of the rock in silhouette.
